Integrating Emergency Management Into Existing Curricula

Many majors and specializations on the periphery of emergency response have important roles in preparedness, mitigation, and response. Meanwhile, young adults are at the peak of their lifetime learning curve and can cast fresh eyes on entrenched problems in mitigation and response. How can we tap the potential of students enrolled in programs outside emergency management into the curricula for fields such as engineering, architecture, business, journalism, and public health?
