Issues in Disaster Recovery I

Major disasters such as the Joplin Tornado, the 2013 Colorado floods, and other communitywide events can lead to changes such as policy learning, improved development practices, and whole community collaborations. This session examines the extent to which disasters drive those changes, including what conditions lead to improvements, what can potentially derail recovery, and what can be done to ensure progress as recovery activities unfold.
