Resilient Infrastructure for Sustainable Communities

One question will be increasingly salient in the coming years—how can infrastructure design and management support community resilience? Understanding how interdependent systems can support resilience or make communities more vulnerable during disasters or service interuptions can drastically affect economic and physical well-being. This panel will bring together experts from the 2014 Resilient Infrastructure for Sustainable Communities Workshop to summarize key findings and address questions from the research and practitioner communities about infrastructure performance and natural disasters.
