Wildfire Hazards

Panelists in this session will focus on wildfire hazards from the perspective of those charged with managing wildfires and bushfires, as well as from the perspective of those living in wildfire hazard areas. Issues to be addressed include the current composition of fire teams, the influence of community context and external factors on response effectiveness, and the impact that resident social characteristics has on the understanding of hazard vulnerability.
