Brittney Parker
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Brittney Parker is a senior resilience program manager for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Ocean Service, contracted through Lynker. She is currently researching practitioner needs related to coastal inundation services to inform responsive federal support of local and regional decision-making. Parker coordinates NOAA's participation in a variety of coastal resilience-related interagency and intergovernmental partnerships, such as the Interagency Task Force on Sea Level Change and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction. Parker was a 2020 Knauss Fellow with Federal Emergency Management Agency and Coastal States Organization, and previously worked with National Wildlife Federation as a resilient floodplains policy specialist at their National Advocacy Center. She holds her Master of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from the College of Charleston and her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Connecticut.
