Debbie Cabrales
Centro De Servicios Para Campesinos
Debbie Cabrales is a proud first-generation Mexican American Latina from Woodburn, Oregon, and the daughter of immigrant parents from Jalisco, Mexico. As the oldest of four children, she was the first in her family to attend college and graduate from Western Oregon University with a degree in social science, focusing on sociology, and a minor in business.
Today, she serves as the Executive Director of Centro de Servicios Para Campesinos, the same organization that helped her father on his path to legalization. It is a privilege to now lead the work that uplifts and empowers immigrant and farmworker families across our region.
She served on the Woodburn City Council from 2019 to 2024 and was the only Latina representative during her tenure. As a single mother and lifelong Woodburn resident, she is deeply committed to building a more inclusive, connected, and welcoming community.
Throughout her career in public service and nonprofit leadership, she has focused on connecting immigrant, farmworker, and Black, Indigenous, and people of color community members with essential services, resources, and opportunities. Especially during challenging times, she is committed to helping our community remain resilient, informed, and safe by providing trusted information, strengthening support networks, and ensuring families have the tools they need to protect themselves and thrive. Her goal is to help all residents feel seen, supported, and empowered where they live and work.
