Hannah Campbell is the Program Advisor for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Climate and Societal Interactions Division. Prior to her current role, she has worked as program manager for NOAA’s Regional Integrated Science and Assessments program, and in air quality analysis and state planning as a Natural Resource Planner for the Maryland Department of the Environment. She also served as the Assistant Director of the master’s in urban and regional planning program for the University of California Irvine and as the Director of Climate Adaptation and Communities for Conservation International. She specializes in environmental science and planning and has worked in the federal, state, and nonprofit sectors, as well as academia, across 14 countries.
While working in the federal government she has served on details focused on climate information systems and adaptation with the East-West Center and the U.S. National Park Service. Campbell has dual degrees in geology (with a focus on Antarctic Paleoclimate) and French studies from Rice University, and a master's in environmental science and policy from Columbia University.
