Jennifer Charlton-Faia

Jennifer Charlton-Faia serves as the section chief and deputy state hazard mitigation officer for the State of Texas. She has spent over a decade in service at the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and has worked on more than 40 disasters ranging from the 2013 West Fertilizer Plant Explosion to 2017's Hurricane Harvey, 2021's Winter Storm Uri, and the unprecedented 2024 Wildfires. During her time with TDEM, she has served in a variety of roles, including finance, compliance, audit, recovery, and most recently hazard mitigation.
