KB Advising
Juan Bossano is a Co-Founder of KB Advising, a consulting firm he launched in October 2020 to help state, local, and tribal clients navigate Federal Emergency Management Agency grant programs and disaster recovery. Over more than 14 years in the field, Bossano has contributed to the recovery and mitigation efforts following some of the nation's most consequential disasters, including Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Superstorm Sandy in New York, and Hurricanes Irma and Maria in the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
His path into disaster recovery began in 2012 on Louisiana's Road Home Elevation Program and grew into progressively senior roles in Benefit-Cost Analysis, grant management, and program leadership.
A technical expert in hazard mitigation, federal compliance, and Benefit-Cost Analyses (BCAs), Bossano has worked every phase of the federal grant lifecycle — from developing Hazard Mitigation Grant Program applications and BCAs through compliance monitoring and closeout. He has helped clients secure and manage over $6 billion in federal funding across the country, with work spanning Louisiana, New York, Oregon, North Carolina, the US Virgin Islands, and Hawaii.
