Linda Langston

Linda Langston served as an elected official in Linn County Iowa for 14 years and also served as president of the National Association of Counties (NACo). She later was Director of Strategic Relations for NACo. She served on Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Advisory Council, on the National Academy of Sciences Resilient America Roundtable (chair for 3 years), and on the Geos Institute Board (President for 2 years). She presently serves on the Center for Health People and Places at the National Academy of Sciences. Locally she serves on the Linn County Board of Health and the Linn County Arts Commission. She served the City of Cedar Rapids on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
