Lindsay Davis

Lindsay Davis manages the portfolio of U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)-State Bureau of Disaster and Humanitarian Response (DHR)-funded projects related to international earthquake preparedness and response. Davis is the spokesperson and coordinator for Earthquake Disaster Assistance Team and supports scientists from across multiple programs in proposal development and project execution. She serves as a liaison between USGS and DHR and as a Geohazards Advisor for DHR. Prior to her current position, Davis was as a Research Associate with the Natural Hazards Center. Her experience includes work in science policy with the Geological Society of America in Washington DC, as a Peace Corps volunteer focusing on disaster risk reduction/management in the Philippines and El Salvador, in gas geochemistry with the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory and in risk communication/emergency management with the Southern California Earthquake Center. Davis holds a Master of Science in geology from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor of Science in environmental health from Colorado State University.
