Lori Hodges
Larimer County
Lori Hodges currently works as the director of Emergency Management for Larimer County in Northern Colorado. Past experience includes ten years as a Paramedic and firefighter in Summit County, and twenty years of emergency management experience at both the state and local levels. Hodges is Certified Energy Manager certified through International Association of Emergency Managers and the State of Colorado and is a graduate of the Executive Leaders Program through the Naval Postgraduate School. Hodges's education includes a PhD in business management with an emphasis on strategy and innovation, a master’s degree in defense studies with an emphasis on homeland security and defense, and a master’s degree in political science and public policy. She received the Emergency Manager of the Year Award from the Colorado Emergency Management Association in 2008 and 2013 and received the President’s Award in 2020. Hodges also received the Ranger Brendan Unitt Community Service Award in 2023 and a Graduate Study Award from the University of Colorado and the Colorado Municipal League in 2007. Hodges earned the Billy Mitchell Award in 1988 from the Civil Air Patrol (US Auxiliary of the United States Air Force) and received the Bronze Medallion National Award for outstanding service in 1997.
