Marísa Macías

U.S. Geological Survey

Marísa Macías is a usability specialist for the U.S. Geological Survey Geologic Hazards Science Center in Golden, Colorado. She has a bachelor's in geological engineering with a minor in public affairs and a master's in humanitarian engineering and science from the Colorado School of Mines. Her research interests include usability research and risk communication for geologic hazards. Additionally, she leads a team responsible for operational science communication during landslide event responses and conducts outreach for the U.S. Geological Survey.
