Megan Lacey is a PhD student in public policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on environmental justice and the ways institutional inequalities shape policy responses to environmental hazards. She is particularly interested in how public policy can better address the disproportionate impacts of environmental risks on marginalized communities and aims to support the development of more equitable, environmentally just policies.
Before beginning her doctoral studies, Lacey earned a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies with a concentration in global environmental politics from Bates College. Her academic background combines interdisciplinary environmental scholarship with a strong interest in public policy and governance.
Through her work, Lacey seeks to bridge research and practice by contributing insights that help policymakers create more inclusive and effective environmental policies.
