Olivia Vilá

Olivia Vila is a social scientist with a background in hazards research, federal government policy, and resilience planning. She completed her PhD in 2022 from North Carolina State University, where she investigated institutional capacity to support disaster recovery and hazard mitigation. At Argonne National Laboratory, Olivia has contributed to research and analysis supporting Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Energy, and interagency efforts in emergency management. Her work combines qualitative methods with other analytical approaches to generate comprehensive insight into complex policy and organizational challenges.
