Syed Mostofa Asif

Syed Mostofa Asif is a PhD student in the Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management at Louisiana State University (LSU). He is also a graduate teaching assistant in the same department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. His research focuses on the application of machine learning in flood management, infrastructure resilience, and water resources construction project management. His technical expertise spans Python, R, ArcGIS Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, and Primavera P6. Before joining LSU, he worked as a Sub-Divisional Engineer (Civil) at the Bangladesh Water Development Board. There he gained practical experience in construction, procurement, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments for major hydraulic and flood management projects. Asif has received multiple awards and academic honors, and he actively engages in professional and academic communities.
