This year’s poster session will be held in a virtual space that allows presenters to upload a professionally prepared poster and an accompanying video presentation. We invite you to share a brief description of your current research, programs, or projects to be posted online. The Research and Practice Highlights are an opportunity to shine a bright light on your current pursuits and allow participants to maximize the networking opportunities that will be available during the online Workshop. Hazards and Disasters Student Paper Competition

The annual Hazards and Disasters Student Paper Competition is an opportunity to showcase the work of the next generation of hazards and disasters scholars. We encourage undergraduate and graduate students to submit their current research, literature reviews, theoretical arguments, or case studies for consideration. Mary Fran Myers Gender and Disaster Award

The Mary Fran Myers Gender and Disaster Award recognizes disaster professionals who continue Mary Fran’s goal of promoting research and evidence-informed action on gender issues in disasters and emergency management. Please send us nominations of those persons who are doing especially strong gender-focused work to advance these important goals. Self-nominations are not accepted.
