Resilience Challenges

In Europe, Project emBRACE seeks to improve resilience among European communities, while a related project, TACTIC, enhances disaster preparedness by providing communication and education strategies based on community needs. In the United States, the Los Angeles County Community Disaster Resilience Program is doing similar work. While these programs are vitally needed, they aren’t without challenges. Panelists will discuss obstacles they have faced, including the problem of applying resilience concepts in real-world settings.
