The Great Tohoku Earthquake: Research Perspectives

The Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami of March 11, 2011, triggered a triple meltdown at the Fukushima Daichi nuclear power plant, killed upwards of 20,000 people, and is regarded as the costliest natural disaster in history. Since the earthquake, numerous research projects have been initiated by disaster scholars in Japan and other nations. This session will provide insights on research findings and ongoing studies.
