Wildfire Community Preparedness Day Funding
National Fire Protection Association
Deadline: February 28, 2016
The National Fire Protection Association is accepting application for project funding that will support its Wildfire Community Preparedness Day activities on May 7. Projects should be related to grassroots efforts in awareness, risk reduction, or post-fire events. More than 100 awards of $500 each will be awarded to groups and individuals 13 or older. Disasters and Emergency Management: Case Studies in Adaptation and Innovation

Elsevier is accepting proposals from scholars and practitioners interested in contributing to a five-book series on disaster management. Books will focus on mitigation, preparedness, response, recovery, and prevention. Authors should submit a brief statement describing how their case will illustrate state-of-the-practice knowledge or conditions that give rise to the need for innovation. IAWF Scholarship Program
International Association of Wildland Fire

The International Association of Wildland Fire is accepting applications for its 2016 scholarship program. Two graduate-level scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded. Applications from students studying wildland fire from the perspective of physical, ecological, or social science and less traditional subject areas are encouraged.
