Olusola-Ige Adetoro is a postdoctoral fellow and affiliate staff at the University of South Carolina, she received her Ph.D in Ecology and Environmental Studies at the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, She received M.Sc in Environmental control and management, a Professional Masters in GIS and Remote Sensing and a B.Ed in Social Studies from the same Institution.

Olusola-Ige, an interdisciplinary researcher, aims to understand the connection between socio-ecological components and natural hazards in watersheds with a focus on ensuring environmental sustainability and disaster risk reduction. Her research covers biophysical remote sensing, natural hazards, vegetation mapping, community resilience and vulnerability, urban green infrastructure, climate change and environmental stress monitoring.  Her work entails quantitative and qualitative research. She has continued to work with hazard mitigation and other environmental stakeholders to reduce environmental risk and influence strategic decision-making.
