Amr Abd-Elrahman is a geomatics professor at the University of Florida. He received his PhD in geomatics with a minor in computer and information science engineering from the University of Florida. Abd-Elrahman's research primarily revolves around utilizing spatial analysis to support various natural resource management. His recent research endeavors involve the application of machine and deep learning techniques. His research projects have received funding from notable entities like the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and private sector organizations. Abd-Elrahman is the president-elect of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS). He also became ASPRS fellow in 2023.
