Angela Chia-Chen Chen

Angela Chia-Chen Chen is a nurse scientist and board-certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. Her research addresses mental and behavioral health disparities among underserved and marginalized populations. As a bilingual and bicultural researcher and healthcare provider for underserved populations, she has collaborated with community, academic, and service partners in the United States and other countries. She has examined multi-level risk and protective factors associated with mental and behavioral health issues and service access, referral, and utilization among underserved populations. She has also collaborated with interdisciplinary researchers to develop culturally and linguistically congruent interventions to address mental and behavioral health disparities among different populations.
