Anjana Adhikari

Anjana Adhikari is pursuing doctoral studies in the environmental health sciences track with a particular interest in algal blooms and algal toxins in the freshwater water system and the factors promoting their frequent occurrences. Adhikari's current research involves analyzing the factors leading to harmful algal blooms(HABs) in the Great Lakes -Lake Erie, Lake Michigan, and Lake Superior and analytically quantifying the toxins during different sampling episodes using LC-MS/MS. She hopes her research will aid in informing the public and stakeholders about the cause and effect of HABs and aid in finding ways to conserve deteriorating freshwater systems.
