Ann Bostrom

Ann Bostrom studies mental models of hazardous processes, helping people understand and make decisions under uncertainty about crises such as climate change, extreme weather, and earthquakes. Bostrom earned her bachelor's of english from the University of Washington, and her master's of business administration from Western Washington University. She also holds a PhD in policy analysis from Carnegie Mellon University, where she completed postdoctoral studies related to engineering and public policy. Bostrom also studied cognitive aspects of survey methodology at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
