Astrid Sambolín Morales

Astrid Sambolín Morales is a fourth year PhD candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder School of Education. She received her master's in English education from the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez campus and taught writing and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at several higher education institutions on the island before beginning her doctoral studies in the Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity program at CU. Her research interests include translanguaging, bilingual education, critical theories of race, and culturally sustaining pedagogies.
