Carla Prater

Carla Prater is the former associate director of the Texas A&M University Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center where she conducted disaster research in the United States and internationally. She is the author or co-author of more than 40 scientific journal articles and an introductory textbook on emergency management. She later served for seven years as assistant director for Buddhist Global Relief and is currently a research scientist at the Environmental Hazards Research Institute.
