Charis Boke

Charis Boke is a cultural anthropologist whose research and teaching sits at the intersection of feminist science studies, medical anthropology, and environmental humanities. Boke's current research focuses on ethnographic and geographic methods for understanding cultural factors of flood disaster response and perceptions of responsibility in rural Vermont. Each of Boke's projects continues her scholarly attention to the interaction of “natural” and “cultural” well-being.
