Clare Losey is a PhD student in urban and regional sciences at Texas A&M University. Her ongoing research focuses on housing affordability, low-income homeownership, and post-disaster mobility decisions of homeowners. Losey was recently awarded a quick response grant to interview homeowners in Lumberton, NC who received hazard mitigation grant program assistance following Hurricane Matthew for property acquisition, elevation, or reconstruction. She has published articles on housing affordability after Hurricane Harvey with the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University. Losey holds a master's of science in real estate finance from Texas A&M University and a bachelor's of arts in geography and urban studies from the University of Texas.
