Delián Colón-Burgos

Delián Colón-Burgos is an undergraduate student at The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), majoring in meteorology and atmospheric science and minoring in Geography. At Penn State she is an undergraduate researcher at Dr. Helen Greatrex’s Lab, where she is working on a project linking Coronavirus and the weather. She has collaborated on research projects studying hurricane evacuation decision making and risk perception with the added risk of COVID-19. Her research interests include extreme weather events, tropical meteorology, and climate change. She aspires to pursue a PhD and through her research increase community resiliency to climate change and weather induced natural disasters.
