Elisa Borowski is a third-year PhD candidate at Northwestern University in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a specialization in transportation systems analysis and planning. Her research examines the effects of resource accessibility, risk perceptions, and social influence on dynamic behavioral decision-making in response to single or multi-hazard events, while considering group vulnerability from an intersectionality perspective. She holds a master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structures and materials, and a bachelor’s degree in English and anthropology from the University of New Mexico.
