Erica Kuligowski

Erica Kuligowski is a vice-chancellor’s senior research fellow in the School of Engineering at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) with expertise in response behavior of people under imminent threat, emergency communications, and evacuation modeling. Before joining RMIT University, Kuligowski worked for 18 years in the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Engineering Laboratory, where she performed research on evacuation and sheltering behavior and emergency communications in disasters, including building a fire, severe weather, and bushfire.
