Farinaz Motlagh

Farinaz Motlagh is a PhD candidate in marine, atmospheric, and sustainability sciences at Stony Brook University, New York. In her research, Motlagh uses geospatial, qualitative, and quantitative approaches to evaluate the effectiveness and equity of flood mitigation projects and spending programs. She is also experienced in designing survey and interview instruments and collecting primary data on household disaster recovery through various field studies. Motlagh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial economics and a Master of Science degree in integrated water resources management. In her free time, she enjoys embarking on outdoor adventures and exploring the beauty of nature.
