Félix A. López Román is a professor of sociological theory at the Complutense University of Madrid and an associate professor of social sciences in the Department of Sociology at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). He also serves as the planning director at the UPR Vice-Presidency. López Román is a member of the editorial board of Revista Umbral and the Research Institute of Violence and Complexity. Some of his publications include Transformations of Being, Transformations of Ways of Living: The Symbolic Dimension of Property in Suburbia in Román, M. City, Abandonment, and Violence, and Media and Poverty Marginalization in Rodríguez, I. Social Theory, Advanced Marginality, and Criminal Status.
