Haley Murphy
Haley Murphy is an associate professor and program coordinator for the Fire and Emergency Management program at Oklahoma State University. Murphy’s research focuses on household adjustment to hazards, risk perception, decision-making, and organizational behavior. She has conducted data collection and analysis regarding the 2013 tornadoes in central Oklahoma, Hurricane Laura, and the earthquakes in Oklahoma, as well as several studies examining organizational culture in the nonprofit sector and fire service. Murphy has received funding to support her research from the National Science Foundation, the International Association of Fire Chiefs, and the National Fire Prevention Association.
