Heidi Tremayne

Heidi Tremayne is the executive director of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), a multidisciplinary, non-profit technical society dedicated to earthquake risk reduction. She is responsible for executing EERI vision and strategy, providing financial oversight, facilitating operations, growing EERI membership, and involving members in the Institute’s numerous activities designed to achieve its mission. With support of the EERI board of directors and staff, she ensures the Institute's impact and prominence as the premier earthquake engineering society. She uses both her engineering knowledge as a trained and licensed civil engineer and leadership skills to help EERI members and volunteers take action to reduce earthquake risk. Tremayne is a native of Oakland, California and currently lives there in a household with her husband, one year-old daughter, and parents.
