Hilary Byerly is a postdoctoral associate at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research applies insights into behavior and decision-making to understand how people manage the natural environment and inform more effective programs and policies. She is currently working with wildfire organizations to test strategies for engaging households in risk mitigation. Byerly holds a PhD from the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont, a master's in applied economics from Cornell University, and a bachelor's in environmental studies and international affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder.
