Julia Crowley

Julia Crowley is an assistant professor of urban planning and design at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She received a PhD in urban and regional planning from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Her research focuses on disaster management, plastic waste reduction, social vulnerability, and environmental justice. Some of the peer-reviewed academic journals she has published in include International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, International Journal of Disaster Risk Science, Risk, Hazards & Crisis in Public Policy, Waste Management, and Resources, and Conservation and Recycling.
