Kara Takasaki

Kara Takasaki studies race and gender inequality in paid and unpaid labor. Her research currently focuses on work and family among Asian Americans, rural community development, and low wage day laborers. She received her PhD in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin, and her master's in the social sciences from the University of Chicago.
