Leonard Huggins is currently an associate faculty for the College of Doctoral Studies at the University of Phoenix. He loves teaching and has a deep passion for the pillars of discovery and application in research. Huggins' research interests focus primarily on disaster management and recovery, location and geospatial analytics, and network analyses. Some of his most rewarding research includes examining resettlement patterns in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake and the investigation of disaster recovery in the Eastern Caribbean following Hurricane Ivan in 2004. Huggins also enjoys being a subject matter expert on solid waste route optimization and improving collection efficiencies.
