Meghan McGinty

Meghan McGinty directs emergency management at NYC Health + Hospitals, the largest municipal health care organization in the United States. Her research examines health sector resilience, hospital preparedness, allocation of scarce resources, risk communication, and workforce development. McGinty has supported preparedness and response initiatives of the U.S. National Response Team, Environmental Protection Agency, Coast Guard, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Public Health Service, NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and National Association of County and City Health Officials. McGinty has responded to disasters including Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the 2009 H1N1 pandemic, Zika and COVID-19.
