Michael Allen is an assistant professor of geography at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. His research explores the intersection of extreme temperature environments and human health with a recent focus on migrant farming populations on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. He is also part of an interdisciplinary research team working to model absorptive capacity after natural disasters and future climate impacts.
