Mirelsa Modestti-González is a psychologist, consultant, and lecturer and has worked as an adjunct professor at the University of Puerto Rico and Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, where she founded and directed COMUNICA: Research Center and Creative Studio.
She is an independent researcher on human behavior, health/risk communication, and bioethics. She has also researched burnout, compassion fatigue, and moral distress among healthcare professionals during the pandemic.
Modestti-González is the education director at the Latino Center of Bioethics and Humanities (Centro Latino de Bioética y Humanidades) and a communication and education coordinator at the Pan American Network of Bioethics and Communication (Red Panamericana de Bioética y Comunicación). She is also a writer, playwright, and screenwriter.
