Muritala Adegoke
Muritala Adegoke is a doctoral candidate at Morgan State University in the Department of Civil Engineering. He has a passion for teaching and research interest in composite strengthening materials, retrofitting concrete and steel structures, and analytical investigation using finite element methods. Focusing on performance-based design, Adegoke conducts extensive experimental research and using advanced materials and participates in many research projects.
Adegoke's most recent effort resides with the Minority Scholars from Under-Represented Groups in Engineering and Social Sciences Capacity in disasters group, which is a collaborative effort across the United States that focuses on increasing the number of minority STEM graduates in hazards and disasters. As an advocate for community outreach, he works with the faculty of engineering by facilitating hands-on STEM activities geared towards Baltimore city youth development.
