Nathan Wood

U.S. Geological Survey

Nathan Wood is a research geographer with the United States Geological Survey Western Geographic Science Center and is located in Portland, Oregon. He earned a PhD in geography from Oregon State University, a master's degree in marine science from University of South Florida, and a bachelor's degree in geology from Duke University. His research focuses on the use of geographic information system tools and collaborative processes to characterize, model, and communicate societal vulnerability to natural hazards; including sudden-onset and chronic hazards.
