Rita V. Burke

Rita V. Burke is an associate professor of clinical population and public health sciences at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She has a joint appointment in the Department of Pediatrics. She has over 70 peer-reviewed publications, over 50 abstracts and book chapters. She currently serves on the National Advisory Committee on Children and Disasters, which was established to advise the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on the medical and public health needs of children in disasters. She received her master’s in public health and doctorate in epidemiology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
