Sarah DeYoung

Sarah DeYoung is an assistant professor at the Institute for Disaster Management in the at the University of Georgia. She has a PhD in applied social and community psychology from North Carolina State University and completed her postdoctoral research at the University of Delaware Disaster Research Center. Her research focuses on protective actions and decision-making throughout the hazard cycle; socially vulnerable populations; issues associated with animals and evacuations; community-based risk reduction in Nepal; and infant feeding in emergencies.
