Sarah Mercurio

Sarah Mercurio is a qualitative researcher and PhD candidate in urban studies at Portland State University (PSU). Her dissertation research studies the intersections of disaster, place, and planning processes. Her interests in process extend to her work at PSU’s Homelessness Research and Action Collaborative where she investigates racial equity in the governance of state and local homelessness programs in Oregon. She is also a teacher, an entrepreneur, and a mom of one moody gray cat and one spicy pomeranian.
