Simone Domingue

Simone Domingue is a doctoral candidate in the department of sociology at University of Colorado Boulder and a graduate research assistant at the Natural Hazards Center. She also serves as the assistant editor of the Natural Hazards Review. Her research concerns the drivers of social and ecological harms and explores how social contexts affect the formulation and implementation of hazard related policies. She is also interested in public participation in environmental decision-making and hazard mitigation. Domingue completed a master's degree in environmental sciences from Louisiana State University where her work focused on measuring and evaluating community involvement in Superfund site remediation and assessing community resilience to coastal hazards.
