University of Colorado Boulder
Stefan Leyk is an associate professor in the Department of Geography, University of Colorado Boulder and a faculty associate with the University of Colorado Population Center at the Institute of Behavioral Science.
Leyk is a geographical information scientist with expertise in demographic small area estimation and spatio-temporal modeling of population distributions to explore human-environment interactions relevant to key processes such as urbanization and land use/cover change. Furthermore, his research interests include the development of approaches for spatial data integration, information extraction from remote sensing data and historical maps as well as uncertainty modeling in complex data.
As a GIScientist, Leyk is engaged in different interdisciplinary collaborations on data-intensive research for spatial and spatio-temporal modeling of interacting demographic and environmental processes. More information about current and past projects and publications can be found here.
